WhatsApp on iPhone May Support 3 Accounts in One App: What We Know

Using more than one WhatsApp number on an iPhone could soon become much easier. WhatsApp is working on expanding its multi-account feature to support up to three accounts in a single app.

That means iPhone users may eventually be able to manage three different WhatsApp profiles without installing another messaging app or carrying a second phone.

The discovery was reported by WABetaInfo after the feature appeared in WhatsApp beta for iOS version 26.37.10.15. However, there is an important catch: three-account support is still under development and is not currently available for beta testing.

WhatsApp Is Working on a Third Account for iPhone

WhatsApp has already introduced multi-account support on iPhone, allowing users to add a second account and switch between profiles without logging out.

Now the company appears to be taking the feature one step further.

The latest development suggests that WhatsApp is preparing support for up to three accounts inside the same iOS application. This could be particularly useful for people who regularly use three different phone numbers.

Instead of treating the third account as a separate feature, WhatsApp appears to be extending the existing account management system.

How Will Three WhatsApp Accounts Work?

The basic idea is straightforward. Each WhatsApp account will remain separate while being managed through the same application.

Users can access the Account List from WhatsApp settings, where their active profiles are displayed.

Once two accounts are already connected, the interface can provide an option to add another account. The third profile can then be accessed through the same account-switching system.

In other words, users will not have to log out of one account just to access another.

Chats and Notifications Stay Separate

One of the most important parts of multi-account support is keeping each profile independent.

Chat history, notifications, privacy settings, backups, and media remain associated with their respective accounts. This helps prevent personal conversations from becoming mixed with work or business messages.

Notifications also identify the account associated with incoming messages. That becomes increasingly important when several profiles are active in the same application.

Who Will Benefit Most From Three Accounts?

Not everyone needs three WhatsApp accounts. For users with only one phone number, the feature will probably make little difference.

Does This Make WhatsApp Business Unnecessary?

Not necessarily.

WhatsApp Business still offers dedicated tools for businesses, so multi-account support does not automatically replace the Business app.
